How it all began...

It all began with a random selection from the trending list on Netflix~ Tidying up with Marie Kondo (Now a global name). What started with a simple binge watching, while doing the routine ironing, has now become embedded in my psyche. Does this Spark JOY? Every avenue of my life has now been wrapped around this question. Yoga with Adriene has taught me to hold on to what is serving me and let go of the things in life which are not, Find What Feels Good. But the simple phrase of "Does this spark joy?" gives a fuller image of what is serving me. An energy which gives life.

As I worked through the steps, I knew the looming step five would be a battle. Battle: is this too abrasive a word? Bloodshed or campaign, contest, dispute contend, feud, strife/strive, wrestle. Struggle.

Words, meaning, time and love. Memories. Pulsing energy on paper.

I imagined lines of boundaries when the time came to actually 'get to it.' What items must always be accessible for times of remembrance. My great granny's curly cursive notes. ANY and All post cards:) My husbands, my daughters, my sisters, my parents, correspondences with encouragment.... One can begin to see where the angst, panic, dread, apprehension, nervousness -kept step 5 far at bay.

One night, I dreamt of just scanning and posting at least the Christmas cards or other holiday  letters to a website, where if needed for a reflection I could just log on the internet and see the seasons of life lay in digital resting places.

Why?... A journey is unfolding here with words. Significance in time, collecting of paper, a resource of holding a kindness. What will come to light? Where will the focus fall?
